Itinerary from Orentano to the Via Francigena at Villa Campanile

Orentano - Villa Campanile approx. Km 6,6 - 1h 40m Touristic Route

Itinerary connecting the village of Orentano with the Via Francigena at Villa Campanile.

Orentano is on the Path nr. 200, the Cerbaie Path (see also Hiking Map of Cerbaie). 

The road touches historically important places such as Ponte De Gini (ancient site of an Etruscan bridge excavation and pirogue and built remains) and the wetland area of Botronchio (Ramsar Area).

The white road, sometimes grassy but always well maintained and traveled on foot, by bicycle and on horseback by a multitude of people leads up to the Via Vicinale di Corte Brogi (asphalt bottom).

From here we arrive at the crossroads with the SP4 (Via Tullio Cristiani).

We enter Via Vicinale di Matteino (woodland road with an evident bottom) and then Via Vicinale della Toppa (woodland road with an evident bottom).

Then we take Via dei Pini (paved municipal road) and in Via Dori we enter the official route of the Via Francigena of the Region of Tuscany.

Even the asphalted stretches are low or very low traffic roads.
